Suicide prevention call: Seoul Vice Mayor Cho Eun-hee tries a “Life Call” phone on Hannam Bridge over the Han River in Seoul, Monday, during the launching ceremony of the suicide-prevention counseling call. The Life Insurance Philanthropy Foundation will install eight such phones on Hannam and Mapo bridges, where a large number of suicides have occurred. The phones are meant to help those attempting to take their own lives there to receive last-minute counseling to prevent them from killing themslves.
